About the Artist

Glass is my addictive first love. The way it changes in the light – every look is different. Glass is useful, endlessly recyclable and made of raw, natural materials. It has a willingness to be transformed, with a little heat and love, into many beautiful and useful things. It is ever so delicate, yet so very strong. This is why it speaks to me.

Always practical, I like to find different ways to incorporate beauty into things of function. Using largely sheet glass, recycled bottle glass and metals, I use various kiln formed glass fusing techniques and stained glass techniques to create art you can use or wear on a daily basis. I am constantly searching for new ways to utilize and display this gorgeous medium - hang it, wear it, eat off of it! Nothing brings me more happiness than seeing someone else use or wear my glass. My art is made to be used.

During this journey, I found myself in search of good quality metal findings from which to display my beautiful glass. I could never quite find the deigns or quality that I desired, and so another path became clear. I will make my own. So now a second love has bloomed in the form of metal work. Using a gas torch and metals such as sterling silver, fine silver, copper, brass and bronze, I now forge whatever I need to enhance my glass. Sometimes, the metal alone is beautiful and will become its own work of art.

I began my adult life as a CPA in the corporate world. Twenty years ago, I found working with glass to be a form of stress relief from this hectic life. Over time, glass became my sole focus and I left the corporate world behind to concentrate on this passion. I have been teaching, making and selling various forms of glass and metal art and jewelry for over a decade now. I am an active member of several glass and art organizations, where I continue to learn and grow my art.
Born a Texan, but well-traveled, I am now thrilled to be nesting in Bluff Dale, TX to further pursue this glass and metal adoration of mine.
